A lot of people associate the word “tradition” in fraternities with parties, hazing and Animal house… If we are going to talk tradition, let’s go all the way back to our founding. These tenets started with 12 men at Richmond college in 1901. Thus, the BMP is the true traditional fraternity experience.

If I accept a bid and then the colony closes, am I still considered a real brother in the fraternity?

Yes, if you have completed the Epsilon Challenge then you are brother in the national fraternity.

Pretty sure you're a brother as soon as you accept your invitation to join, so you'd be a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon and therefore wouldn't be able to join any other fraternity.

SigEp had a membership review and lost some quality guys. Most juniors and seniors just quit.
