Wish that Greek life was taken more serious. Limited orgs that have little to no members. It’s a shame there’s not more orgs and that the orgs that already exist don’t do anything. Also very divided and unfriendly.

There is plenty of hazing on this campus. The frats are a mix of emotional and physical where the sororities are emotional and mental. The parties aren't safe, there's a lot of drama and it's not worth the money. I regret rushing in the first place, I don't feel comfortable in greek life anymore.

Greek life here is small but some organizations are selective on who they give bids out to. Sororities are more competitive towards each other, while the fraternities are more selective during candidacy process. If they allowed houses on campus I feel like Greek Life would thrive, but they aren't allowed to. Primarily commuter school too. Join if you want to get somewhat involved.

The greek organizations here are merely clubs for commuting students. There are no greek houses, no greek weekend activities ( since this is a commuter/suitcase school) and not selective at all. If you're interested in joining, you're basically in! It's a good way to make a few friends at Western but that's about it. Nothing like the Fraternities and Sororities at notable universities.

With four sororities (2 NPC, 2 local) and three fraternities (2 IFC, 1 local), Western does pretty well for itself. Most of the members of Greek Life at this school are leaders in other campus organizations and there is a feeling of Greek unity. I would not say that the sororities really compete with one another because WCSU has a diverse student body and women typically choose the best match for them. The fraternities are different and TKE usually competes with ZBT for members. All in all, Greek Life is solid for the size of WCSU's student body.
