Do you know many members? That is key in almost all houses here at TAMU. I was a legacy with big Panhellenic backing and they did not treat me very nicely. I was cut the first round without much of an opportunity. The girl who was assigned to me could have cared less and kept looking around our entire conversation. I had gone to boarding school so I had no personal connections with any of the sororities. I dropped out and was invited spring rush once a had the chance to meet more girls and learn about the other sororities. Now, so happy. But found happiness in another house one that does not have the highest ranking on this place. So even though howdy stopped at the front door of the Tri Delt house, I found the real experience somewhere else!

a&m doesn't care much for legacies. being a legacy really won't help you much at all...it's not uncommon to end up in a sorority you are NOT a legacy for. i would strongly advise you not to come in wanting/expecting tri delta.

Hope you went to one of their "approved" high schools and camps. That matters more than legacy, although bonus points if you went to the right high school and are also a legacy.

I'm going to be honest, Tridelt is absolutely the toughest sorority to "get into" in the sense that they do cut the most girls each round. But with that being said, the first comment is totally wrong because Tridelts do not cut legacys first round. But Tridelts only count moms and sisters as woman who will make you a legacy, not a grandma or aunt. Tridelt is an awesome sorority and all the girls are very sweet. Get some really good recs and send in a very detailed resume and you'll have a very good chance especially since you are a legacy, because Tridelt does consider that.

They put up a fake staircase during rush- very odd. Try to get a good look and you'll see it's just a picture!
