which sorority should be next to join us?
by: TAMU GreekDo you think that we should add another sorority? Which one would be your pick?

I doubt it's AOII. You wanna know why? For a few years they went into expansion hyperdrive, and now they've overextended their resources. You have to remember that colonies usually get consultants full time for a year and 5 years of special attention, plus the cost to start up. And they need some time to catch up. Plus, 99.99% of the time, schools don't just pick a random group out of a hat and ask them to colonize. There's a process.

we could benefit from aphi; they can send the girls from texas over (super pretty) to help colonize along with the aggie aphi alum in the immediate area; ttech and n texas are solid but aphi needs another BIG, strong chapter in the state along with their omega chapter at texas and tamu makes perfect sense, esp since there is unfinished business here for them (closed chapter); they are organized and powerful at the nat'l level and their chapters are strong across the country, with most being considered 'mid' or 'top' tier everywhere, which is something that alpha gam or phi mu are not...and did I say they are usually very PRETTY?! They target the hot ones and hot sorority girls can only help our greek sytem grow in prestige.

A&M greek life is better served by waiting for a better sorority. AOPi is not one of the stronger sororities, even if they have 'some' decent chapters. A&M is a major school and we need a great sorority, not one that is OK with 'some' decent chapters. They are not what we need to make our greek life better known, more respected or higher quality. New houses depend very much on nationals, so AOPi's relative medieocrity at the nat'l level is an issue. It's pretty mediocre everywhere, actually.

Normally it's more interesting, when it works the right way and more than one group applies
