There are five major top tier sororities and fraternities at A&M. The exact order is highly disputed but being in any of these houses means experiencing the best that greek life here has to offer. These are:
Kappa, TriDelt, Zeta, DG, and XO
Fiji, KA, SAE, SigEp, and Beta
Then there are 3 solid middle tier sororities and fraternities that aren't quite as popular selective or prestigious but still strong and definitely a solid greek experience to be a part of. These are:
PiPhi, AXO, and Theta
Delt, Sigma Chi, and Pike
After that, there is a significant drop off. However, that doesn't mean the other houses are bad, you'll still have a good time if you like/fit in with the people in your chapter and can make some really good friends

Good thing we are talking about A&M then because the OP has the sororities correct.

If DG and Zeta aren't top nationally then who is? Almost any listing of the top 5-10 national sororities will have DG and Zeta up toward the top

dg is strong and at most schools are mid tier with some top. rarely are they bottom. On the other hand, zeta may be bottom of the ) top at UT and other Texas school, they are very weak in so many areas, like the mid west and back east where greek life saturates the old schools.

A&M Greeks: Please take a minute realize how lucky we are. Our orgs here are WAY nicer and welcoming. We may not have the long held "blue blood traditions" of some greek campuses but we have amazing Aggie traditions.
Let's keep Aggie Greeks -- CLASSY
And yes, Give rushees a little more credit. They chose A&M. Let them choose the greek home that is best for them.
