Not nearly as competitive. UT's rush is probably the most difficult in the country. A&M is like, 2nd or 3rd tier in terms of competitiveness in the SEC. 4th most competitive rush in Texas.

2. Don't go over 2 recommendations. Only case where it would be OK is if you get 2 recs from women who actually know you and the 3rd is from the international president or someone similarly high up in the national organization. Don't bother getting 2 recs from people who do not know you or your family well (these are called info-only recs).

i was pleasantly surprised by rush, as i thought it would be tougher than it was. i was a legacy to a lower tier house, and only had in-house connections at a few houses. one rec for each house, no rec at one (and got invited back). my grades were good and i had a lot of extra-curriculars, and i was only cut by 3 houses after the first round (so i had a full schedule the whole week). just make sure your grades/test scores/extra curriculars are strong and do your best to find one rec for each house! good luck!

I had absolutely no Rec letters and very few connections in only like 2 houses, and I got the maximum number of invitations all of the days and got into my top pick house!! As long as your grades are good and you connect well with the girls you should be fine!! Just be yourself and enjoy the process, bc I honestly had a lot of fun!!
