"grade risk"
by: WonderingIs a 3.0 a "grade risk" if you're a sophomore going through rush that came from a different school freshman year?

Yes, you're a grade risk. You've already asked this question before and you got an answer.
You got a 3.0 as a Freshman... which means that as an upperclassman your grades will be even lower. Unless you're transferring in from Rice or Vanderbilt, that's a really risky GPA. Your GPA is lower than the New Member average for Freshmen girls who actually attended A&M.
Realistically, you may get invited to 2-3 houses after the first round. At the very most.

I rushed as a sophomore (went to A&M my first year) and was at exactly a 3.0. I was not a grade risk. I know that grade requirements differ between sororities, but I had a full list of parties 2nd day and went back to all the ones I wanted the following days. That said, I'm not sure if girls who went to A&M and girls who transferred are looked at differently. Of course you're going to have upperclassmen with amazing grades, but a surprising number of upperclassmen are grade risks, with much lower grades than a 3.0. That gpa might put you at a disadvantage, but if you were involved freshman year, are well rounded, and are a decent conversationalist, I'd say you have a good shot.
