By national rules, all sororities have a grade cutoff (it's private so they're not allowed to disclose). On top of that, each individual chapter may have its own GPA cutoff that is higher than what their nationals require. If you got into A&M (even Blinn Team, but I'm not sure) then it's likely that your GPA will be sufficient for most groups. XO and Theta, to some extent Kappa, Tri Delt, and Pi Phi, might try to recruit academic girls from more well-known or prestigious schools. Not to be rude, but almost everyone knows that a 3.5 from a well-known big city school is better than a 3.8 at a small town school.

Definitely more likely that it'll be 3.5 than a 3.0. Also a lot of the sophmores who are rushing went to A&M their Freshman year and have well above 3.5s and also made friends with actives during their Freshman years. Good news for you, you still have a semester to pull up your grades before recruitment.

You're ignorant. Just because you are blinn team doesn't mean you aren't smart. We would much rather take a blinn team girl we love who got a 3.4 GPA / 30 ACT and came from a competitive or private school OVER a girl from a small 2A high school who got a 6.5 GPA but made a 20 on their ACT. They will be the ones to struggle in college and are a risk to a sorority. GPA's are relative to what school you received the grade from. Sororities look at everything and take it all into account. If you made below a 3.0 in high school you will most likely be block released though
