A&M does have a good greek life. UTs is pretty much the best in the state though. They have way more history and way more money, plus a university that supports them more. We're good but we can't compare to UT. You just have to get over it. Besides, UT greek life might be brighter but its incredibly pompous and full of trust fund babies. At least ours is full of hard working Aggies and cool people

I see Texas' greek system stagnant if not declining. Only the legacy families kids seem to be going through recruitment and not many "new" people joining the system.

UT's top houses (PiPhi, Kappa, Theta, Fiji, SAE, SigEp) are on a whole different level than ours simply because they're extremely wealthy and full of legacy families from an absurd amount of old money. But aside from that, the rest of their greek life isn't much better than ours. It's basically what would happen if you gave our chapters nicer houses and maybe a little more money in exchange for weaker membership quality

SAE at UT is going bankrupt so I wouldn't call them top house if they're about to be foreclosed on

Honestly greek life would grow here rapidly if we actually were supported by TAMU. Most the bigger fraternities are under some sort of an investigation right now, and half of them are for ridiculously reasons (a pledge waiting in line to pull tickets in A&M's eyes apparently is hazing). they're also kicking the fraternities off Duncan for taligates right now so they can build a "band hall" and have been asking greeklife to move their Bid day to snook the past couple years. this school wants to keep it's core legacy, only thing that sucks for them is no one wants to dress up in a military outfit from 1945 anymore. If they actually supported greek life instead of treating us like second class citizens, they're probable actually be a real fraternity row
