affilation

by: Transfer

If I want to transfer to ATM next year (soph) and I don't have enough transfer credits by March of this year to apply, they told me I would have to go to Blinn in the Fall. Would I have to disaffiliate from my sorority until I get into ATM or am I allowed to transfer to this chapter?

March "of this year" had passed already, but if you mean March 2016 and you want to transfer in Fall of 2016, couldn't you just take more credits in your Spring semester and take more credits in the Summer semester? Otherwise if you are at Blinn you cannot reaffiliate in your sorority here. Additionally, the A&M chapter will have to accept you, it's not entirely automatic.

Yes, sorry, I'm a freshman now. You have to have 23 transferrable completed credits before you can apply to ATM. Fall 2016 transfer apps are due March 2016 so no time to get those all in. I will have 37 before fall semester starts.

And, I was told you can affiliate and do not have to be accepted unless you are not in good standing. There's no acceptance process that I'm aware of.

okay so I'm a freshman and I am also applying to transfer and I talked to admissions and what you do is sen in your fall transcript and everything to apply by the deadline and then they'll send you a rejection that says when to turn the spring hours in by. So you won't know if you are admitted until like june but you can won't have to go to blinn for another semester.

Not sure how that goes with transferring sororities bc I am planning to rush next fall, but you'll go from your home university straight to TAMU

Most Sophomores who get into top sororities are already at A&M, 98% girls rushing had over 3.8 unweighted gpa.

Are you currently a member of a Panhellenic sorority or not? You can't rush in the fall of you are.
