Lots of girls rush and get bids as sophomores (including me)! How to increase your chances: Get involved. Volunteer, join clubs/teams, have leadership positions. GET GOOD GRADES. Half of the upperclassmen that go through recruitment are grade risks (usually below a 2.5-3.0 depending on the chapter) and this really hurts your chances. As long as you have good grades, were somewhat involved freshman year, and have a great personality, you should be golden!
