What group would you like to see colonize here?

This isn't a "trophy for everyone" campus

growing number of pnm's with 12 houses will only make pledge classes bigger. i'd like to see phi mu colonize, they're successful at other southern schools

Wrong. This "outs" me as an alumna, but the year Alpha Phi folded, quota was 76. This was also before RFM when you weren't guaranteed a bid if you "maximized your options" at pref so quota would have been about the same as this year's was if you include the 100 or so girls who preffed but didn't get a bid.

There were the exact same number of sororities on campus then, too. Alpha Phi & AGD were still here and KD and Gamma Phi hadn't colonized yet.

Is Panhellenic opening up for extension? I have not heard anything.

Supposedly panhellenic is considering extension. Vote happens in September to open or not, and then vote for which groups get to present in October, and a Spring 2016? colonization, from what I've heard

Will uninitiated NMs get to vote too or is it just the PH delegates from each sorority?

TAMU is not currently open for extension and I cannot imagine Panhellenic would vote to open. Pledge class sizes would need to be consistently in the 90-100 range to begin "outgrowing" our current house count. Plus, I'm sure Panhellenic would like to see ADPi get another couple successful rushes under their belt before adding another chapter. You don't want to add a chapter only to lose one a few years later and be back in the same boat, numbers-wise.

@Voting- Panhellenic would vote to open campus for expansion. Then, interested sororities would submit packets and a committee of actives and advisors, in conjunction with the Greek Life office, would review the packets and decide who to invite to present. Each current chapter would vote via Panhellenic representation for their preferred expansion sorority. Individual chapter members or NM's do not vote.

None. ADPi just got back on its feet. No one needs a new colony next year to struggle with. As a collegian, I'd prefer to see the current sororities make adjustments for their newer sizes rather than invite another sorority to colonize. I don't think our PC got any larger from last year, stayed the same really, so the need isn't as dire as Alabama or anything.

We need to dissolve ADPi (sorry girls), and bring in a new group that won't drag everyone else down.
