advice appreciated

I am really interested in joining a fraternity but I don't know if houses would consider to give me a bid. This past year, my freshman year, I attended a university out of state and ended up getting suspended for a year. As a result of my situation my GPA tanked from a poor performance my second semester and I was unable to transfer to another school. So I am stuck here taking classes at Blinn CC. I took a few classes over the summer and will be taking some more this fall to help my GPA recover and to finish the list of classes I need to transfer to TAMU. I plan on having at least a 3.4 GPA when I transfer. With all that being said I want to rush hopefully this spring. So do I even have a chance?

If you're a good guy every fraternity will give you a look. They all take a few blinn guys here and there no matter what they say about it.
