No, they don't really. Because Bid Day is in the afternoon, some moms hang out with their daughters in the morning/early afternoon and some may swing by the row to say hi (usually if they're legacy moms) but on the whole, you'll be so swept up in activities, it might be rude to invite your mom along but have to say bye for most of the time you're at your new house.

No, because there's nothing for them to do. You open your bid card and immediately go to your new house. There will be moms' and dads' weekends, pledge/new member presentations, and other sorority events throughout the year where your parents can visit and get to know your new friends and house.
