fashion faux pas?

last year's recruitment guide shows a girl wearing a maxi for round 2 (philanthropy day). i have a cute one i would love to wear, but i'm wondering, do many girls do that? how is it perceived by actives?

Just don't wear a mumu and you're fine. How is a maxi dress a fashion faux pas? They're all over anthro, J.Crew, etc.

not saying maxis are a fashion faux pas haha. i love them! i was asking if it was a no-no for rush. the one i'm thinking about actually is JCrew, so thanks for your feedback!
