fraternity rush
by: kidI'm an incoming freshman from north NJ, just south of NYC. I am a relatively laid back kid who played football, ice hockey, and baseball in high school, was a member of many clubs, had a finance internship on Wall Street, and I will be majoring in finance. I was just curious if I have a shot at getting into a solid fraternity, and if there are any in specific that I should look into as I don't know anyone or anything about Greek life at school.

Sounds like you'd have a good shot but none of that stuff matters if the guys don't like you so it depends who you get along with. By "solid" I'm assuming you mean upper tier, in which case KA, Fiji, Beta, Sigep, and SAE are all worth checking out. You'll probably have a hard time with Fiji though because they pretty much only take kids from certain texas high schools, and if you're a northerner you probably won't fit in very well with KA or Beta (they're very southern/country) so I'd recommend SAE or Sigep. Delt and Sigma Chi are somewhat decent as well.
