receiving a bid from fraternity
by: rusheeOnce you receive a bid can you say you need to think about it first before you sign?

The rush process has changed this year so I'm not sure, but if accepting bids still works the same as it used to, you'll have time to think on it anyway. Typically you know which fraternities extended you a bid the night before, and then the next morning you go to a place on campus and sign the bid card for the fraternity you've decided on pledging (assuming you get more than one bid in the first place)

Instead of wondering about this I have a suggestion for you. Decide in advance that whichever house you get, you'll go into it with your whole heart. Get involved immediately. Meet people and really get to know them. Invite girls in your class to study with you or go for coffee. Run for an office in your new member class. Hang out at the house with the older girls. DON"T WAIT TO FALL IN LOVE WITH THEM. Deliberately decide to fall in love on bid day. Every house, regardless of the rank you see on greekrank is a great house and full of girls who CAN be you life long friends. YOU have the decision of whether you want that. You can still be friends with girls from other houses, but COMMIT to your house on bid day and DON"T LOOK BACK.
That's the best recipe for happiness.
