Okay, I'm going to be totally honest here, and I may get a ton of other people jumping down my throat, but this is my honest take on it. There is nothing "wrong" with ADPi. They are a full sorority with events, mixers, traditions, everything. However, things have been rough for them because they can't keep girls and half their bid list doesn't show up on the lawn so they have to go through COR to keep a full pledge class. This results in girls who are not really "sorority types" but just looking to join a sisterhood and live the sorority experience (hence why they have good sisterhood). The girls are kind of awkward both in appearance and conversation which doesn't attract them to PNMs, so they keep doing poorly in formal recruitment which doesn't help them retain the girls they choose for Bid Day. They also haven't really found their niche of girls which makes them have a reputation of taking anyone. DZ takes girls who like to party, Theta takes girls who are ultra-conservative but get really good grades, KD/GPhi takes girls who are are nice and sociable with maybe a few quirky charms.

Just based on my experience last year, I would say it's the the tent talk that is horrible. Lots of rumors swirl and like most of them, you find out way after bid day that they aren't even close to being true, but then bid day has already passed, so some people choose to not give them a chance, which is sad (the PNM is the one missing out!). I much rather be Greek than not at all. Cliche, I know, but so true. I actually enjoyed my parties there, though I ended up somewhere else. The ones that do pledge ADPi really seem to love it and they have a good presence on campus. The ones I have met are nice girls who have fun, just like every other house. They all love their house and sisters just as much as I love mine. That's my honest opinion!

Probably the tent talk that gets them every year. Then there is this website full of hate and lies. All of the girls I have met here are nothing like the past rumors. Maybe things really have turned around with them? IDK. I'm in a different house, but think the reputation is completely unfair and not accurate. Since recruitment keeps getting more and more competitive things will change.

Honestly, I think they're getting better and wish people would stop bashing them and give them a chance. Their numbers are way up and I hope most of the akward girls graduated.
