gpa, test scores, activities, etc
by: :)What GPA, test scores, high school activities, and other things do the top sororities look for? In other words, what makes sororities look at your rush packet and say they want you?
#1by: Well
A high GPA, obviously. On a 4.0 scale DEFINITELY higher than a 3.0 from high school...honestly probably a 3.4 atleast. I don't think test scores really matter. Definitely want to see that you were involved in high school, whether that be drill team, cheer, performing arts, sports, SGA, whatever! Show your leadership positions as well, and your accomplishments/honors. Mentioning charity work/service is a great way to stand out too because all houses at A&M are extremely passionate about their philanthropies. Put hobbies on there as well, those are great ways to stand out.
ALSO, this is not just for top houses. With a record number of girls going through, ALL houses will be looking for these things.
#2by: A active
There's no specific activity that looks more impressive than the others. However we are impressed if you're REALLY good at whatever activity you do. If you got a ton of 5s on your AP tests, put it down, if you were Fantine in your school's production of Les Mis, won awards in debate, robotics, science olympiad, captain of your soccer team, put it down. But on a serious note, DO NOT LIE about your activities or grades. We will find out, even if you're from a small town. I've known recruitment team to call high school coaches and teachers to verify involvement.

look for excellent involvement and grades. Rec's are a must and make sure your social media is squeaky clean. Every sorority releases women for various reasons, some you'll never know. Don't worry too much. Just put your absolute best forward and keep your mind open.
Honestly "top houses" have their pledge classes pretty much picked out before recruitment. Between super legacies (double & triple), close family friends, camp friends, church friends, etc those houses can fill their class very fast. Don't worry about "rankings", just find your home.
