I don't think anyone who is honest would disagree that right now Tri Delt is top.

My opinion after that (and I am being honest) is:

Kappa, Pi Phi,
Chi O or Theta,

Zeta, Dg

The first six listed are the top six all over Texas (big six) and are all very strong nationally....truth....like it or not. The first five of those vary as to who is the best depending on which school in Texas. DG is excellent nationally just not as strong as rest in Texas. I do not know how rest are nationally. Any group is worth joining and these orders should not really matter to you unless you are having to decide between a few sororities. If you LIKE another sorority better, by all means join it! It is a big campus and having a group of sisters is wonderful! Truthfully, all of us would be happy in several different chapters so try not to get too wrapped up in all of this mess. Go Greek! You won't regret pledging any chapter!

Virginia Tech?s chapter of Delta Zeta is no longer recognized as a student organization by the university and will lose its housing in Oak Lane at the end of the school year.

Byron Hughes, Tech?s assistant director of student conduct, said Delta Zeta has lost recognition for the next two years because of multiple alcohol violations, the most recent of which occurred in January.

A statement from Hughes to the Collegiate Times said the chapter was disciplined because it had multiple offenses in the past three years, a standard that is similar to the individual policies of the Office of Student Conduct.

?For the Delta Zeta chapter, there was a history of risk management related infractions stemming back to 2006, and the latest violation in January 2010 involving the consumption of alcohol by of-age students in their chapter house was considered a violation of both University and national policies for the organization,? Hughes? statement said.

The DePauw University Delta Zeta discrimination controversy occurred at the end of 2006 when the Delta Zeta national leadership was criticized after the New York Times published an article accusing the sorority of deactivating certain members of the Delta Chapter at DePauw University based on their perceived attractiveness. The controversy made national headlines and resulted in the chapter's closing and various legal actions.

Now that I've been here 4 years and been on both sides of recruitment, I think a few sororities really stand out, and a few are not worth the money and time to get involved in.

awww did you not get a bid and you are so bitter now? Why else would you be going out of your way to try to make these girls look bad. I am glad you found something to do this summer since obviously you have no friends to hang with and have all this time to bash on people to make yourself feel better. PNM's this website is really just full of GDI's and unhappy sorority girls trying to make everyone else unhappy.

If you are going through recruitment this fall, please know that this website is full of lies. Nothing said here is true and basing your opinion on these lies will just confuse you. Do yourself a favor and trust YOUR OWN opinion when you go through recruitment this fall. Find the house that makes YOU feel comfortable because at the end of the day you are the one that will join the sorority, not your friends, boyfriend, mother, and definitely not the strangers on this website! Just know that all 12 chapters at A&M are full of unique, incredible AGGIES with so much to offer you! You really cannot go wrong if you follow where you?re most comfortable!

Texas A and M has a really good student body and all the sororities offer something for everyone. In every sorority there are smart, pretty, kind, spiritual, involved, fun but always a few in everyone single sorority that might need a little work to grow and mature! Let's support the entire student body and I encourage all the young women going thru recruitment to approach it with an open mind and heart, enjoy this time, make friends, have fun and when it comes time to choose go with how you feel! Positive energy is what Aggies are all about!
