delta gamma discussion

#61 by: RE: Factual
Every sorority has chapters that have to close for whatever reason. My sorority recently closed a chapter in the mid west but I would hate to be judged for it here. DG isn't a tip top sorority in Texas, but they are still relatively good most places to be fair. Even here they are a pain but still the better part of the middle. And they really are good in the south. The poor SEC girl that was just trying to leave a message for the wild DG's here was right; the SEC schools DG is at all have a good rep (except UGA and Bama which I think has only been there a year).

with DG is not the girls in the chapters. It's the God-less, shallow idiots in their nat'l, and it's all the way up the chain. They don't care about how many girls and families they hurt, or whatever slime they have to cover up as long as it stays under the rug. Delta Gamma stands for nothing.

Godless and shallow idiots? That is a very bold statement, and you definitely can't make that claim unless you are a part of DG and would know people in charge, which obviously you aren't. I'm not quite sure what caused your intense dislike, but it seems you are angry about something that does not reflect on the girls in this chapter or any chapter of DG. And to claim a sorority stands for nothing is really quite sad. You're just trying to stir the pot and get people talking with bold statements.

I don't think anyone who is honest would disagree that right now Tri Delt is top.
My opinion after that (and I am being honest) is:
Kappa, Pi Phi,
Chi O or Theta,
Zeta, Dg
The first six listed are the top six all over Texas (big six) and are all very strong nationally....truth....like it or not. The first five of those vary as to who is the best depending on which school in Texas. DG is excellent nationally just not as strong as rest in Texas. I do not know how rest are nationally. Any group is worth joining and these orders should not really matter to you unless you are having to decide between a few sororities. If you LIKE another sorority better, by all means join it! It is a big campus and having a group of sisters is wonderful! Truthfully, all of us would be happy in several different chapters so try not to get too wrapped up in all of this mess. Go Greek! You won't regret pledging any chapter!

Getting on this site always breaks my heart because all I see is negativity and unkind words. Any respectable greek member, a lady or otherwise, needs to discontinue posting here. It's unbecoming of greek life as a whole and completely inappropriate for an Aggie. Please stop using GreekRank, whether you think you're giving an accurate opinion of a house or not. Nobody who posts on here can say they know EVERY member of any given house, and thus cannot pass appropriate judgment.
If you're a PNM coming through in 2012, do yourself a favor and LEAVE GREEKRANK and give each house a fair chance in recruitment. You will get a much better feel for each of the houses in person, something you can't even begin to accomplish based on another's commentary.
Posters, keep your negative nancy attitude to yourself, because if you're at A&M, chances are your parents raised you much better than you're behaving.
