What do you mean by "no good reason?" If she's the only one in the entire house who knows you then yes, you will be blacklisted. But if there's someone who's like "I don't like this PNM, she's awkward" but there's another active who knows you she can be like "oh I know her, we played lacrosse together. She's pretty cool, she must have been sick today" then you'll pass.

Yes and Yes. This happened to me because I dated a guy who's ex-girlfriend was in a sorority. I heard from a member in that chapter that I was automatically cut for "moral background". My own chapter also did this to my best friend who was already friends with a bunch of girls in our house. Our rush chair didn't like her so we didn't even get to vote on her. The chapter will also look at the credibility of the person trying to make the cut.

Yup, it happened. No, I had never met the girl, but she went to my high school and was a year older than me. It was just one house and I wouldn't have fit in there anyways. Before rush, girls are allowed to write private letters to their rush committee about a girl they know coming through. We call it QMB or questionable moral background letters. You're not supposed to write them for reasons like "she's dating my ex-boyfriend" or "I think she's weird". However, girls make up all sorts of things. To be honest, if a guy broke my heart and was with another girl, I wouldn't want that girl in my sorority either.
