rush
by: PnmI've heard that if you're from the Dallas or Fort Worth area you get a lot more attention from "top tier" sororities.. I don't actually believe it but I just wanted to hear y'all's opinion on that

It's not so much DFW in particular but big city girl vs. Suburbs/small town girl. Basically wealthy cultured girl vs. Middle class American Dream kind of girl. It's kind of hard to explain but when rush comes you'll be able to tell pretty quickly if your interests and the interests of the sorority you're visiting align. I know that may sound snobby, but if you've never taken an etiquette course or have "a place" that your family goes skiing or been to Europe or gone to camp, don't feel the need to like that particularly sorority just because they are "top." Money does not equal quality! What is best for you is not what is best for everybody.

So if I wanted to rush a top house but didn't grow up in the rich highland park or like McKinney/Plano/frisco area of Dallas then I probably shouldn't waste my time?
