rival houses?

Are there any houses that are known to compete with one another during recruitment or any other time of the year? I'm not so naive as to believe in total Panhellenic love because some of my friends from school have been "recruiting" the seniors in my HS for their respective houses, with ABC bashing XYZ in particular. I don't know if it's because XYZ is really that bad or if it's because they're ABC's biggest rivals on campus.

Sorry, high school girl. We don't have any chapters of ABC or XYZ at TAMU.
