by: RushThere's only one factor that decides tier, so stop arguing. That factor is how sought after your chapter is during rush. That's it. And depending on the rushee, people usually fall under one of two categories when they come to A&M. Either they're from certain parts of Texas where it's basically expected of them to come in wanting KA & Fiji, these guys are usually rich and from certain schools, or they come in with either SAE & Sigep as a top choice, these are the guys who like to party more. Rushees who don't get KA or Fiji fall back on Beta. Rushees who don't get SAE, or Sigep fall back on Sigma Chi and Delt.There are exceptions to this rule, but this how things generally are.
