There's really not much of a difference between the top 5 and anytime you hear someone saying one is better then the other for whatever reason it's probably because they're in the fraternity they're promoting lol

KA, SAE, and SigEp all have strong brotherhoods. Not saying Fiji and Beta don't necessarily, but they tend to care more about money/background then actual brotherhood and I know a lot of actives in both those chapters who have complained about it.

They all have pretty good parties. SAE and SigEp are known for having the better ones. They're also the only two with real fraternity houses.

Involvement-wise, Beta and SigEp are pretty lackluster. They both do joint philanthropies with sororities but not much else. However they do have a good amount of people in student government and other prestigious academic areas. SAE is pretty involved philanthropy-wise, but as far as actual involvement with the school and other organizations theyre known for kind of being screw-ups. KA and Fiji are both heavily involved, especially in IFC. Out of the top 5 I believe Beta has the best grades and KA the worst. I think SAE takes the most Blinn kids.

Now if you were talking more about social involvement, they're all pretty good. Fiji and Beta are a bit less social then the others. But all 5 have good sorority connections

They're all really not that different. They all have quality guys, good sorority connections, fun parties, pretty good involvement, etc. The biggest difference is just the general attitude of the frats. Fiji is very "upper class" (what do your parents do, did you go to an "old money" high school, what do you drive/wear, etc.) while KA and Beta are more country. SAE and SigEp are more like your traditional SEC fraternities. It really just depends on where you feel you fit in but more or less you'll have the same experience. The other big difference is that SAE and SigEp are the only top tier frats with actual fraternity houses that room 20-30 actives or so. You can't really get the frat-house experience with the other 3, but that's not a big deal if you weren't planning on living in your fraternity house to begin with

Aside from the 2 you mentioned, why don't the frats have houses? I could be wrong but I'd imagine the real estate isn't very expensive there. BTW - I go to SC as in Southern Cal where real estate value is in the stratosphere.

SAE and SigEp have had their houses for a very long time. I don't think it has anything to do with money. There were laws passed that forbid the building of any new fraternity houses in College Station. If you want one you have to buy one that already exists I believe, and there's not much property like that around here. Also, KA and Fiji both used to have fraternity houses. But they got in trouble/got kicked off at some point and so they don't have them anymore. And Beta I'm not really sure about, I think they actually take pride in the fact that they operate out of a barn

What happened to KAs old house? Ive been told SigEp bought Fijis old one and expanded it, but KAs should still be up for grabs then somewhere shouldn't it?

There is actually a street called "Fraternity Row" in College Station that houses Sigma Nu and Sigma Chi, but an old Aggie who was in the Corps of Cadets (who historically have not liked Greek life but I won't talk about that here) bought up all the land on the street and build apartments and rental properties on it. As for the other top tier houses, there isn't really a need for a full on house, just a neat place to party. Maybe in the future some other frats will build mansions but really no one cares. There' seven a frat house literally on sorority row, and it's completely irrelevant. Also if you really go to SC, why would you talk about real estate prices in Pasadena being in the stratosphere? If you went to UCLA or Cal then yeah I'd say it's expensive but Pasadena is basically the ghetto. It's LA's armpit.
