difference between chi o and theta

To be honest, Theta is kind of weird here. On paper they look like a top sorority; they're consistently near the top in grades, they have long and strong traditions, name brand recognition, other strong chapters in the state, and they have a ton of women involved in on campus leadership. There probably hasn't been an honors society that a Theta hasn't been a part of. But that's really the on paper stuff. Some say that Thetas don't care about other Greeks in the sense that they don't really mix with fraternities a lot, don't party, don't hang out with other Greeks. And the girls that they have aren't really social and can be snobby or rude for no reason. Imagine the girl in class who has to say something (even when she's just rehashing something someone else has said) and always has to have the last word in class discussions. Yeah... It's not always pleasant.

Chi O I feel are the stereotypical MRS degree seekers. If I were to make a generalization, I'd say that their GPA is high because they have majors like Communication. They're usually prettier than Thetas too, more "sorority" like. I get the vibe that they're not top tier but they want act it so they give off a snobby vibe for no reason too (Theta's snobby vibe is for academics mostly). I feel as if they'd judge you the most for being "bottom tier," both sorority and fraternity. Seriously though, I think this house gets so much pride from parading their engineer boyfriend/fiancés around.

Chi os are more social and hangout with fraternities more. Girls go theta if chi o cuts them.

Agree!! Sad but true, very judgmental, always throwing out there "we are classier" than others, when it is not true. Every group is made up of all types of girls.

Chi Os are open about dirty rushing and Thetas keep it on the DL (again, the "we're better than everyone" vibe for no reason). Ridic why they still have a good redp.

Consider Theta higher and classier. During my rush experience I was dirty rushed by Chi O and was so hurt as they dropped me - as we all know rush is tough and I took it very personally. Then... found out that they did this to lots of nice, naive young ladies. They were in huge trouble with Houston alums and Panhellenic . Since it was not an isolated incidence and they continue to play games I put Theta well above Chi O - nobody likes a cheater! By the way invited to join a great house and remain close friends with lots of great Thetas. BTW house kind of dumpy! This gives me a strong message about their chapter and their alums.

One year after rush the Kappas posted a sign on ChiOs door that Aggies Don't Lie Cheat Steal. This was after their Rho Chis were caught bringing names of girls and what they ranked back to Chi O house. Always loved Kappa after that..
