by: FraternityWhy aren't the fraternities that actually have houses top frats here? I feel like in order to be a decent fraternity, especially at other universities you need a house! From what I've seen SAE, Sigma Chi, Sigma Nu Pi Kapp, Delt, Sig Ep, & Chi Phi are the only frats that have houses that resemble an actual fraternity house.

How big is Delts house? I know SAEs SigEp Sigma Chi and Sigma Nu all sleep 20-30 guys or so, and Delts house is at least 3/4ths the size of any of those I feel

Idk how many people Delt houses. But it's still pretty decent. Nowhere near SAE or Sigma Chi but still good. It's probably about the same size or a little bigger than SigEp or Sigma Nu's main houses. But Sigma Nu's main house is only like half the property cause they have the built on dormitories. And the SigEp main house is like a third of their property cause SigEp is honestly more of a complex then a house

The quality of your actives is what makes a top house, not the value of your property. No one cares what your house is like except for the actives who live in it. That's why KAS and Fiji are top despite having no real houses. That being said, SAE Sigep and Delt (kind of) all have pretty nice houses and are pretty high up there in most people's opinions. But it's because they have cool guys not because of their houses. Hence the reason why Sigma Chi is still looked down on despite having the nicest house, cause at the end of the day people care more about the people then the property

I get that, but A&M is just weird, because at most other colleges, you are bottom if you don't have a house.

But most other schools also have a greek life that is 100+ years old. Ours is only barely over 40. So a lot of good fraternities don't necessarily have a lot of money for housing. Plus we kind of have an anti-greek administration. Like KA and Fiji both used to have nice houses but then they got in trouble

SAE and Sigma Chi have super nice houses. SigEps house isn't super great but it's definitely better than Delts. As far as houses:
Sigma Chi - huge and nice
SAE - still pretty big and nice
Sigep - somewhat nice but pretty big
Sigma Nu - somewhat nice somewhat big
Delt- functional
