sorority comments

OK, I'm going to jump in here and give my opinion. I am a Kappa, but one of my best friends EVER is a Gamma Phi. I've gotten to know a lot of her friends and they are pretty, smart, involved, fun, etc. They don't have a long history here, but I don't think they deserve to be at the bottom of the rankings. I don't think they're at the top, but they're at least solidly in the middle. That's just my opinion, but I know quite a few of these girls and so I think I can speak with some confidence.

Kappa- will always be top or near the top
Tri-delt- will also always be near top
Theta- A good house, right for certain girls
Zeta- on a slight downfall
DG- moving up
Chi-O- a good house, but also on a downfall
Pi-Phi- on a major downfall, not really considered one of the "better houses" anymore

And based on campus consensus- all the others are just bottom tier.

Kd and a-chi-o are also acceptable. They both make quota and have good grades as well. All houses, even if they are not top offer something special. Greek girls at A&M should be more supportive of each other and then maybe more people will begin to have more respect for Greek life.

Everyone knows the only 3 houses that are worth it are KKG, ZTA, and DDD. All hot, all smart, all considered elite.

I will be going through rush this summer and have been hearing really awful stuff about Adpi. Are they really THAT bad? Even my non Greek friends tell me it's the worst one and not to consider joining them. Can anyone give an unbiased honest opinion as to why people see them that way?

Did ya actually look at cpc grades. Zta is like 10th. BELOW CPC average. Not Smart. Not close to KKG or DDD.

I know you asked for unbiased opinion, and I will try to be as unbiased as I can. I am in Alpha Delta Pi. I truly love my sisters and don't know what I would do without them. They have helped me with the adjustment at A&M so much. We are not a top sorority though. I have no problem admitting that. However the Aggie Dog Pound stuff is going a little overboard I think. Every sorority has a few girls that are less attractive. I would not be happy in any other sorority. And my only advice to you during rush is to go through with an open mind, don't worry what other people say about sororities worry about how you feel when you are at the houses. Find the place you feel at home. Good luck :)

I just looked. In the past 3 days Gamma Phi has gotten 8 rankings of all ones. Anyone who knows A&M knows that they don't deserve all ones. No, they're not a top house. They're new. They have to put in some time. But having said that, they are pretty decent and don't deserve all ones. Looks to me like someone is playing games with rankings...
