The DePauw University Delta Zeta discrimination controversy occurred at the end of 2006 when the Delta Zeta national leadership was criticized after the New York Times published an article accusing the sorority of deactivating certain members of the Delta Chapter at DePauw University based on their perceived attractiveness. The controversy made national headlines and resulted in the chapter's closing and various legal actions.

Now that I have been at A&M for 4 years and been involved with recruitment, I think there are several outstanding sororities and a few that are not worth the time and money to get involved in. A few have strong images/reputations, both positive and negative.

We are a group of friends who are in these 3 fraternities, and we really like AXO honestly. I know us FIJI's hang out with mostly Chi-Os and Kappas, but I have several close AXO friends.

Rush 2012 will be here soon and PNM's need to realize that this website is full of lies and self ranking. None of it is what it is really like. Go through rush and give every house a chance because you will find girls like you if you do. Money is not everything. And just because you think you want to go where the "rich girls" go then you will miss out on a great opportunity to have something real. I am not saying the "rich houses" are bad but all the houses have something to add.

I'm in another house on campus and I love Tri Delt and AXO's posts below. One thing I have to add is that it makes me sick when girls show up on Bid Day and refuse to go to the house where they were offered a bid. When you're invited back to certain houses day after day, that means they see something special in you that aligns with the ideals of the sorority itself. Put all that you've heard about reputations and stereotypes aside, because in the end you're choosing a house based on your experiences and one that would suit you the best. Trust the system and go in with an open mind. Go GREEK!

Didn't get to read ADPi's post as I was writing, but I agree as well. If any PNM's are reading these last few posts, you are getting the best advice you could possibly get from real sorority girls who are proud of their school and Greek life. We can't wait to meet you!

given below! If you trust the system, you can find a great home at any of the 12 houses at A&M. Remember that a sorority isn't just for 4 years. These women will get you through great times and hard times. It's awesome to meet sisters all over the globe as well. I also agree with the comment about getting involved on campus outside of Greek life! Your time at A&M is what YOU make of it. Enjoy.

I feel like my house is the best fit for me. My freshman year my roomies were all in different houses DG, DZ, and Tri Delt. Because of that I got a view into each of the houses at A&M. What I figured out is there really is not much difference in all of them. I know a lot of people in each of these 4 houses and I will be friends with them forever. Being that I lived with so many girls in different houses I have some true advice. After you join your chapter realize that as in life there will be girls you can trust and that you would want to associate with and there are girls you wouldn't. Each of my roomies last year found this out as did I. Just because you are my sister does not mean I am like you. So to the girls in my house that do things that I do not like yes you are my sister but I choose my roomies from other chapters over you and will not associate with you.

KKG is a very strong house here at A&M and I am so thankful I am part of such a strong sisterhood. When Panhellenic asked some of us girls from all the chapters to post some positive and true feelings on greekrank.com I thought about what I would say. Well what I decided to let PNM's know is that it is easy to hide behind an alias and bash the ladies of all the houses. It is easier to lie, it is easier to self rank, it is easier to go after individuals and try to ruin a reputation. Well none of that is acceptable to me. As a KKG officer I have higher standards than that. If I find out through the recruitment process that a PNM got her mind made up about our house because of what she read on this pathetic website I will make sure she is black balled. All houses at A&M are amazing... ALL 12.

If you are a PNM you need to realize that this website is nothing but a hate filled or self ranking website and nothing listed on this is accurate or anything at all like real greek life is like. There are amazing and beautiful and diverse women in every one of the 12 houses and honestly I do not know why it seems like we hate each other on this website. We all support each other and we all go to each others philanthropies and not because we have to but because we love and support all the lovely A&M greek ladies. You would be surprised also that the frat organizations also mix with all of the houses and not just the so called elite. Please follow your heart and let Recruitment work for you. Do not deny a bid from any house as you will miss out of the girls who were meant to be your sisters and you will miss out on the greatest experience of your life.
