I totally agree. Greek life here is awesome on the whole and no matter what chapter you pledge you are guaranteed to have a great experience.

Anytime you get over 2000 girls together, you are going to have some catty nasty ones. To judge the Greek system because of what a very few (I bet maybe 10-20 girls are totally bashing chapters) girls are saying is silly. Just like anywhere, ALL chapters have some not very nice girls and some fantastic girls. Take this site with a grain of sal. I consider it a soap opera that I can look at for a few minutes every now and then...not real life! Greek life is great!

Not to be really catty, but...some houses ARE more highly desired. Just like some jobs are more highly desired, some schools are more highly desired, etc. That is the real world and saying it isn't so is ridiculous and burying your head in the sand. Again, if you object to ranking....DON'T LOOK!! All chapters have lots to offer, and I would be in ANY before I would skip Greek life, but some chapters ARE considered better. Mine is considered a lower top tier or middle one, and I am ok with that....I just don't let it bother me that I didn't grow up in Alamo Heights, Memorial, Highland Park etc. Really that is the main thing it takes to get into "top" chapters...connections or knowing girls. Who cares? My sisters are still smart, sweet, and attractive, and we have a great time together!

you're not a legacy or second generation Greek, you're just trying too hard and it's pathetic.
