Wow. This makes me sad:( I always hoped my daughter would be proud to be ZTA at ATM. (Just like mom) I guess when the time comes, I'll encourage her to pledge another sorority. (or likely not at all)
You guys are brutal. It's hard to imagine that with 40,000++ students, ATM can only produce 3 sororities worth joining. (Chi-O, Tri-delt, Kappa) I thought the greek system had grown and improved in Aggieland. Apparently not! It's worse. What do all the other "classy girls" do? Why don't they want to be members of a one of the other 10 or so sororities?

Most of the sororities at A&M are well run chapters. Most girls going through recruitment pledge one of the 12 groups. There are wonderful girls in every house. That being said, there are several that have more local and state alumnae support, higher recruitment standards, consistently higher GPAs, and those groups are the most sought after by rushees.

I don't think you can rank the sororities from 1 -2, but putting them in tiers is more realistic.

Ist Tier: Chi O, Kappa, Tri Delta

2nd Tier: Theta, Zeta (but very different)

3rd Tier: Pi Phi, Delta Gamma

4th Tier: DZ, A Chi O

5th Tier: KD, ADPi, Gamma Phi

The top tier is Chi-O, Kappa, Tri-delt. The second tier is Theta and Zeta. Then a big drop....... Pi Phi, DG, DZ, AChi-o,KD

U.T.has it's "big six". Texas A&M has it's big five. Kappa, Tri-delt, Chi-o, Theta and Zeta. It's been that way for years. Mostly in that order.

KD is definitely moving up with a really strong pledge class last year and this years' pc is just as strong. Really cute, smart girls. Good for y'all!

Looks like Alum when through here and added his/her two cents worth to every chapter. And wow, straight 1's for every chapter that was commented on. What great Panhellenic spirit....

Alum ranked all the sororities with straight 1's except she skipped right over Gamma Phi. Hmmm.....maybe she is a Gamma Phi.
