Not at all, I came to TAMU this past fall as transfer and got a bid from a top tier fraternity. Actually most the guys in my pledge class are sophomores. most fraternities prefer to take in sophomore just because they already have a year of college under their belt( typically good GPA) and are likely to make less bad decisions.
