rushing
by: helpAny advice for people who are rushing again? I am scared that people will recognize me, is that a bad thing?

What is different this year? Do you have awesome grades this year? Work in lots of orgs on campus? Get to know sorority women? These are all very important to have a successful re-rush. You can't go in with the same profile and expect different results. Have an open mind.

Most houses that know you are re-rushing will find out what sorority you got a bid from and didn't accept. I can sometimes be a red flag because it makes you look picky. The sorority that you didn't accept will probably cut you on the first day. If you are re-rushing for a reason other than not getting the sorority you wanted, tell them on the FIRST day. I believe our house cut girls that re-rushed unless we knew they wanted our house.

I rushed for the first time this year and dropped. I asked panhellenic what classification I should put on my application because I am a freshman by years but a sophomore by hours. So i put sophomore but I am really a freshman and after I rushed they told me I was supposed to put my classification by years, so should I put sophomore for next years application?

The different is that there will be less girls than this year so you have a better chance last year there was only 1000 girls this year it was 1400 girls. That is a huge difference
