by: CuriousWhat are sorority rankings based on? Is it looks because isn't the point of a sorority to have sisters that you cherish? Not just pretty friends? I'm rushing next year and I'm curious!

The rankings are based on looks overall. It's stupid because some of the "lowest" ranked houses have the best sisterhood. Everyone wants to be in a "Top" house so they can say they're in it, but be careful for what you wish for. Top houses also have more cliques and if you're not like everyone else in that house, it could be a lonely experience because you'll be excluded from the friendships. My advice is don't rule out the lower ranked houses next year. Grades are also a part of ranking sometimes, but from the highest to lowest grades it's pretty close, like 3.0- 3.3. Sororities have higher GPAs overall than non Greeks and they will have mandatory study hours for Freshman and watch your grades.

I have found beautiful girls in the "top" and "bottom" houses.....the rankings are 100% personal opinion. There are no real rankings and the only concrete things that could be judged are grades and philanthropy donations.
