Yes they do. They would prefer not to take upperclassman but as long as a PNM "maximizes their options" and doesn't "suicide", they will get a bid from one of the 12 houses....

But I thought each sorority had to take a certain number of upperclassmen?

Not many will but they will look at older girls and if you are fabulous you might have a chance.

Bc they get 3 years out of you instead of 2. Junior is basically $ walking out the door when that years PC become juniors themselves.

Yep, it's better to have a freshman that'll pay dues for 4 years instead of only 2 or 3 years for upperclassmen. Sad, but true.

Yes for every sorority. There are essentially 2 recruitments running at the same time: one for freshmen and one for upperclassmen. Sophs will always be more desired over a junior. You might have 1-2 juniors but generally will be mostly sophs.

Yes sororities are REQUIRED to take upperclassmen but many sophomores rush, so they will usually pick a sophomore over a junior. Sorry but the truth but yes you will get a bid, however you should not be picky.

I wouldn't say 'picky' because honestly the houses are very similar, what you need to realize is that you may not be offered a bid to the house you preconceived you would- no matter WHAT house that is. Some houses are more popular than others with upper classmen - ironically not necessarily the 'top' houses on GR (mostly because GR is NOT real life ) since upperclassmen usually have friends in various houses. Just like those Greek friends were still friends with you pre- Greek, they will be your friends after - even if you're not in the same house.

Kappa, Zeta and Tri Delt are not allowed to take juniors. Sophomores yes but never juniors.

that is 100% speculation --- you CAN'T know the policies of another house. It is private for members only information.... those sororities do NOT tell others their recruitment rules.
