rush fashion advice

Hi, I just want to know what's the best fashion advice you have. I know the usual "dress like yourself and what you feel comfortable in", but what advice would you have wish you had before you rushed (fashion wise)?

It is not necessary to spend a lot of money as long as the dress doesn't look cheap and you work it! I spent over $1,000 on dresses alone bc I tried to get what's "popular" but really nobody looks at that as long as you look cute, classy, and fun!

It may be too late, but the girls that dress in the most popular designers all kind of look the same and end up blending together. I am a fashion major and notice girls who have their own unique but appropriate look. I love seeing something from Target combined with tory burch earrings and bracelet the girl hand made.

^^^ So right. Ask the most fashionable (not "popular") friend you know to help you organize your own accessories with your fav clothing. Then maybe purchase one or two pieces that YOU love.
