blinn team girls
by: honest not meanA&M has caused this problem. They have forced us to let you go through recruitment. However there are not 12 chapters available to you. Yes you get to go to each house and yes you get to do the "mutual selection" but there are houses such as XO and Kappa that will not be able to take you. At the Kappa national convention this summer they were told specifically that they are not allowed to take you. You have to be a full time student (in this case at A&M) to get a bid. 12 hours at A&M at the minimum.

I'm just gonna throw this out there. I haven't read the exact language so I don't know if this is something to consider, but I wonder if the CPC bylaws state that eligibilty for participation in recruitment means being a "fully matriculated" student at TAMU (i.e. it doesn't exactly say 12 or more hours), and "Fully Matriculated" in the eyes of TAMU means any student enrolled 12 hours, BT, or whatever that other program is called, then I think that's how BT girls would be eligible. Does the CPC bylaw say 12+ hours = full time or does it just say "fully matriculated" b/c in the eyes of TAMU, a fully matriculated student includes BT and I'm thinking that's how the university is justifying this. It's just like lawsuits and contracts. It all depends on how you interpret the language presented.

By our sororities by laws we are not allowed to take anyone that is not taking at the minimum of 12 years at (in this case) A&M. This is not a local law it is a national law for my sorority only. I do not claim to know what other chapters by laws are. We cannot and will not initiate any member of Blinn Team. If we are forced to give them a bid and they accept it they are pretty much out of luck.

It's just dumb that CPC has lied to Blinn girls and let them think they have a chance. It's like how they will let anyone with a bad GPA rush and say you should have a high school GPA of at least 2.75 or a college GPA 2.50 when everyone knows girls with that low of GPA would get cut hard.

This is exactly the situation. Our nationals have made sure we understand this. No community college members.
