Drop and $ question

by: Me

I’m considering dropping and I have questions but don’t want to ask anyone in my sorority until I decide.

What happens financially if I were to drop today? Would I still be liable for the remainder of the balance or would it be dropped as well?

I honestly don’t even know how to drop, is it as simple as stopping payments or is there a process?

Is there a policy about returning items/clothing that have letters?

Thanks, I should probably know the answer to this but I know nothing about sororities, I really wanted to try and my experience has been not great. Basically just showing up for chapter and required events, no Big interaction or outreach, I just feel a little lost and I don’t think this is for me. I’m also really sad to see so much hate and tearing down of each other on here. I guess I was just naive.

My big dropped this semester and I don’t know about the finance stuff. It’s pretty discrete just talk to your memebership chair. Some I don’t know if all don’t allow you to wear any clothing or letters after that but just give it to a friend or another girl.

It sounds like you recently joined though so if you’re like a COB girl I highly encourage you to stick it out through the semester and go to more because you will meet friends. I felt exactly like you did but I had a great friend group formed by the end of the semester. Be outgoing. Also getting a big is super involved and fun!
If you were the 24 class, I understand, but do know I met my best friends through recruitment and most girls I know really started to bond in their chapter through work week and recruitment. Just a thought.
