Got dropped. Snap bid?
by: cryingGot dropped after sisterhood. My prefs were Kappa and Tri Delt. I know getting a snap bid from Kappa is not likely but what about Tri Delt or even my third pref DG??

So sorry this happened to you. It’s unlikely as these houses will probably meet quota. Rush again next fall as a sophomore if you still really want it. Meet girls from all the house, be nice, and keep a good rep.
You now have the opportunity to see what all the houses are like outside of recruitment when they’re putting on a show. Next year you’ll know more girls that will be pulling for you and have a better chance.
It’s so sad to see this because you’re clearly a great girl that would’ve been totally happy with your 3rd choice DG. They probably really liked you too and had you put them in one of your top spots you very likely could’ve ended up there. The matching system is broken.

The farther you get carried with a house the more they saw you as a fit, so there's that. Snap bids are not exactly numerous, and only go out when a chapter can't fill to quota. Most houses do hit quota, so don't count on a snap. Maybe a COB after bid day depending on where Chapter Total is set. Chin up!

To PNMS that recently dropped from recruitment; coming from a girl that dropped and received a snap bid from a top house. If you’ve recently dropped from recruitment you need to ASAP email every house’s vice president of recruitment. The email addresses should be on the houses website/instagram link in bio. In your email briefly explain why you dropped, throughly explain you are still very interested in that specific house, list of reasons/characteristic’s you like, girls you talked to, all the reasons. If you REALLY wanted a particular house, write them a love letter in the email. This is a long in detail letter about how you felt you were meant to be there. Attach your resume to the email and hit send. I would never have received my bid if i hadn’t send those emails. I am now friends with the VP of recruitment during my time rushing, and she explaining that i never would have been called had i not sent that email. Prayers to all those going through this!

No, the matching system works great. There's just not enough spaces for all of the entitled PNMs who think they can only be in certain houses
