Rec Letters Important

Do houses really care if I have a rec letter or not? Are there any specifically who will for sure cut me if I don’t have one for that particular house?

No one cares. Don't bother. It's just a useless exercise to make alums feel like people are still listening to them

Do they care? Not really but if you don't get one and no one knows you, don't be surprised to be released.

There are some houses where having a rec does bump up your score. Unless you have zero interest in a particular house, get the rec. It can't hurt but there's a chance it could make the difference between getting an invite to round two or not.
