Sophomore Rushing

by: Rush

I plan on rushing as a sophomore, however, I had a bad academic first year making my GPA a 2.1, I barely reach good academic standing, will this limit the houses I hear back from?

The Panhellenic website says, "While there is no academic cutoff for Recruitment, it is highly recommended that women going through Primary Recruitment have a high school GPA of no less than 2.75, and a college GPA of no less than 2.50 (for upperclassmen)."

Really, you should have at least closer to a 3.0. You can still rush as the minimum is not a requirement, but you'll probably have better outcomes if you cob in the spring or rush as a junior after bringing your grades up.
