let’s talk about kappa.

I can’t believe I am even posting on here because this is all so ridiculous. Greek rank is the most inaccurate forum and most PNMs know they should not make decisions based off this site. All the people posting about Kappa on here are either envious they got cut in years past or making up lies because they didn’t get invited back. Take it from someone with a lot of friends in Kappa, who doesn’t actually hate them for snagging some of the cute girls during recruitment. Rush is a competition and every sorority knows that. Kappa is just a competitor. It’s my understanding that Kappa CLEARLY stated during recruitment what probation looks like. Probation is just a scary word. All it means is that Kappa can not have alc at date parties until December or something and that they have to do alcohol education/awareness training. They accepted full responsibility for their actions so I’m not sure why people are so pressed? They were never in trouble for hazing last year. The probation is because another sorority turned in a video of kappas drinking underage. This same sorority is equally as guilty of underage drinking, but no one in top houses cares enough to snitch on them or talk about them because they are not even worth making drama about. It was an irresponsible mistake made by a few girls in Kappa. Not the whole chapter. It’s not that big of a deal. There are SO many rumors circulating in group chats right now. They ARE gonna have a pc. That pc is gonna have events, initiation, and everything else. Kappa has been on probation for a while now and they have been having date parties for a full semester. No one is buying the kappa house. Y’all need to chill. Panhellenic wouldn’t allow kappa to get up on a stage and LIE to PNMs about probation. The sorority was required to address it. If Greek life just keeps turning on each other and dragging one another down, all of greek life is going to get a bad rep at A&M. You don’t have to love kappa, but hating them is a little extreme. Y’all need to get a life because the kappas aren’t on this site posting about your sorority. They don’t care that you don’t like them. And despite probation, they are probably still going to have a good pledge class. There are girls coming to A&M who know Kappas rep and still want it because they have friends in the chapter or have had great conversations/interactions with Kappas.
