It’s because they have automatic bids and rarely cut girls. If you got an invite to pref and choose them you’re gaudenteed a bid from them. Girls prob just messed up and let it slip

This is just how RFM works. Any house you go to on pref night, one of the two will give you a bid. Obvs if you just have one house, attend the party and sign your card, that house HAS to give you a bid. So I guess you can call it “automatic”, but that’s true for any house bc that’s just how the rules are written.
