what is adpi and kappas reputation on campus?
by: nervypnmI have seen a lot of mixed responses to this question. some say they have a great sisterhood and others say it’s embarrassing to go adpi. is kappa a bottom house? what happened I am confused?

So over the past few years, ADPi has been growing themselves and attracting great girls. Previously, ADPi was considered lower because a lot of the girls who ended up there were not your “typical” sorority girl, however, they had a great sisterhood. Having a new and beautiful house is definitely going to improve their upward momentum. While they are not a top house, they are certainly a middle tier house.
Kappa over the years was always desired because of the National name. They seemed destined to really be a continued top choice when they were going to get a brand new, three story mansion. I’m not sure if they just rested on their laurels or felt like they were “untouchable” but some of their members started making super stupid decisions like the whole “Black Out or Back Out” scandal. Nationals backed out of their housing deal and they STILL didn’t learn. They continued with hazing issues and honestly, they are lucky they are still on campus. It sucks because there are always going to be great girls who are affected by the dumba&$ery of others. I personally hope they can get it together and recruit solid girls who are invested in growing their sisterhood and not being stupid or arrogant.
I don’t think Kappa is necessarily bottom. But they are NOT a top house.

Both of these houses have a lot of chatter about them currently… for adpi it’s all very positive and they are on the move up for sure! New house and great sisterhood. Kappa has had a lot of negative publicity recently for their probations and members dropping. Kappas have things they need to work on imo!

The facts speak for themselves.
ADPi is strong nationally, best on campus at many SEC, ACC schools. Yeah, there were issues at one point here, but it's obvious their nationals and alumni are backing this chapter and aren't letting go of their spot on the row. THeir involvement on campus is A++ (like other sorority houses - it's a strength of Aggie greeks in general), they are smart, good women and their sisterhood is solid.
Kappa also has a good name nationally and have been well regarded at A&M in the past but they rested on their name for many years. THey've never been outstanding at any one thing, they've just been... Kappas. Which... fine. Now they're on probation for incidents that are explained on this site and that is an indication of a culture problem. PNMs need to go in to all chapters aware that social media doesn't show all they need to know...

ADPI is okay and the girls are nice/smart but def second to bottom unfortunately because they do not go out much and don’t wear their letters on campus. New house is super nice though and they have an awesome sisterhood!! Kappas tend to zipcode and have had a downward spiral with their reputation for being mean/hazing/probation/no mixers. The national name is what keeps them somewhat relevant but the last few years have been rough….. maybe don’t consider this house if you want a bad rep…

Their Nationals didn’t back out of their rebuild. You don’t know what you are talking about. They plan to rebuild. It’s my understanding they are getting more and new advisors supporting their chapter to make it stronger.
