Truth about frats at A&M

There is a lot of discussion here about how Pike/Sig Chi/ Delt are all top here at A&M and how KA/ Fiji/ Beta don't care to throw stuff with other sororities other than Chi O/ Kappa/ Tri Delt and are not considered top frats. There's a lot more to it than people see or realize.
The undisputed top frats/ sororities at Texas for example are Fiji/ SAE/ Sig Ep and PKT. All the kids in KA/ Fiji/ Beta all went to high school with them at Memorial, Westlake, HP and every other rich neighborhood around Texas and continue those friendships throughout college. They visit each other on weekends and go to every single big event that anyone throws (Resurrection, Fiji Frost, Studio 54).
It's a social circle that Pike/ Sig Chi/ Delt all don't have. People get on here saying how KA/ Fiji/ Beta don't care about getting to know others at A&M and truthfully they're absolutely right. They meet friends of friends and create a circle through all the other top fraternities creating their reputation as a top fraternity from other people in top fraternities. As long as they continue getting those high school friends and keeping their reputation as a top fraternity by other schools, no one can consider them not top. There's a reason why Pike/ Sig Chi/ Delt all have PCs of 60+ and KA/ Fiji/ Beta hover around 40. Truthfully it's going to probably stay like this even if Kappa and Tri delt go down hill because every girl from those previously mentioned neighborhoods will still go Kappa/ Tri delt to stay in that social circle. If you want rush a top frat and get that reputation then you have to rush Fiji/ Ka/ Beta. They have the most money/ donors by far and you'll automatically get into that same social circle with every other top frat/ sorority in Texas.
If you're just looking to make connections with people in College Station while having just as many parties and events, and don't care about the reputation of other schools then yes rush Pike/Sig Chi/ Delt. Ka/Fiji/Beta do care about that reputation and probably won't lose it.

Sadly this is all true. Also PKT/ Fiji and Rho at UT are filled with kids from those areas where as sororities/fraternities at A&M all have some from other areas too.
I do think that Pi Phi and Chi o as well as Kappa Sig (recently at least) get kids from those areas also. They just are not as desired by kids from those wealthy areas and have more from other areas as well. Thus the nerdier perhaps not as “cool” or social kids go those others.

Unfortunately not prob. They’ll just leach off family name and wealth for rest of life. OP is right unfortunately there totally is a pipeline which is stupid and sucks.

there are wealthy guys in frats besides these. such narrow minded and can't go outside the box to be a sucess on their own merit

i promise you fiji is not breaking up with tri delt or kappa. they have been doing this halloween party every year for years now. one of my friends in fiji told me they do this so they can hook up with the easy girls that usually hang around sigma chis for a night lmao

I'm a Fiji and we hang out with Kappa and Tri Delt but rarely date them. They are just fun to party with but not there aren't many we want to date since we have known them since hs.
