sister legacy inevitable?

by: aggie

Hi! I have decided to go to A&M and rush in the fall but have a question. My older sister will be a junior and she is in a sorority. Will other sororities give me a chance or will they cut me b/c they think I will pick her sorority? My sister and I are just very very different and I'm not sure I really want to pledge her sorority. THX

Hey! There shouldn’t be any bias based off of any legacy status you have. Most of the time legacy status doesn’t mean much except for a few houses that tend to look/recruit from, but it won’t impact your rush too much, just helps you out w that house. Just remember to pledge where you feel at home; every house here is great and has wonderful girls!

It’ll be fine!! If you mention it during recruitment though it might just spark a conversation about where, so I think maybe it’ll just be best to not mention it unless you’re talking to the house she’s in. Best of luck!!!

Talk with your sister about it. I’m sure she can help you out.
