It does matter. KKG, PIPHI, DDD already know who they are going to invite before recruitment even starts. XO and THETA have crazy alumni who pretty much only let them give out bids to girls who are legacies. That leaves ONLY 7 houses. Also, you need to consider the girls who will be going through recruitment with you. Most PNMs have great grades, were active in h.s., live in pretty nice neighborhoods, have Tori Burch, Lilly Pulitzer, and Kendra Scott in their closets, and are pretty as well. So, yes, it does matter, if you want to receive a bid at all to any of the 7 houses.
