If I dropped during fall recruitment in the first round, should I try again my sophomore year? I had so many preconceptions that were wrong and it really overwhelmed me, so I just dropped on day 3 (after the first round.)
Would I be a hopeless cause if I decide to go through recruitment again?

I don't think you should do it if you're expecting that the houses that dropped you the first and second times are going to suddenly decide that they like you and want you for a sister. If you disregarded the houses that wanted you before, and plan to do that again, I'd say save your money. It will definitely be harder and you need an open mind and willingness to accept any house that wants you enough to invite you back. Being a part of greek life is so precious, I don't see how anyone could just toss it out because of preconceived ranking issues. But some do. If you're one of those, don't bother.
