spring recruitment

I'm transferring to TAMU next spring and I am really interested in spring recruitment! However, I don't know girls in any of the sororities. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to email the recruitment chairs over Christmas break just to kind of introduce myself and let them know that I am interested. Is that something that girls do? Should I do that or would it be totally weird? Thanks!!

Yes you definitely should! Let them know you're interested and they'll be more likely to invite you to their events!
